Threshold explores spaces between states: land and sea, interior and exterior, organism and environment, natural and manufactured. These boundaries are not fixed. They are places of exchange, where one condition encounters, alters or becomes another.
Access Denied 2026 Digital print 42 × 56 cm The entrance to the Houses of Parliament is viewed across a construction zone. Temporary hoardings, fencing and translucent sheeting interrupt the building’s Gothic threshold, leaving its dark opening visible but inaccessible. The image holds a moment in which passage becomes boundary: public movement is redirected, and architecture associated with civic access is placed behind a provisional barrier. Access is not erased but suspended, exposing the unstable relationship between invitation, authority and exclusion.

The final image forms a veil sitting between aperture and obstruction to form a surface that never fully opens.
Interior Horizon 2026 Digital painting 40 × 40 cm Dense, dark surfaces open onto a pale and broken horizon. Scraped and repeated marks make the space difficult to locate, shifting between enclosure, coastline and an interior landscape emerging from the surface itself.

The surface becomes a permeable ground through which forms pass into one another and distinctions of figure, environment and scale begin to dissolve.
Disappearing Access 2026 Digital print 40 × 30 cm Beach steps are gradually engulfed by migrating shingle as sea and sky disappear into mist. Constructed access gives way to a moving coastal system, turning a familiar route towards the water into an uncertain and temporary threshold.
